What kinda diet or diet medicine is good for someone without a thyroid?

Q. i had surgery 2 year ago because i had graves disease, i was tried all the time and lost weight . ihad to much calcuim in my body, now that my thyroid has been took out im gaining weight.

A. Forget about the diet pills. What's most important is thyroid levels. The morning TSH needs to be around 1.0 if you are on T4 (Synthroid, Levoxyl) Also, you want to make sure you are converting enough T4 into T3. You can find this out by having a free t3 test. The result should be at least midrange. If its below midrange, it means you are a poor converter of T4 to T3. A T4/T3 medication like Armour thyroid or Thyrolar might help. On T4/T3, medication dosage is adjusted by free t4 and free t3, not by TSH.

As far as diet, decrease carbs and increase fiber,

Exercise 4+ times per week. Drink lots of water and limit sugar

What is the best diet pill for a female looking to lose 8-31 with diet and exercise?
Q. I'm 181 and want to get down to 173 at least to have a healthy weight.Then get down to 160- 150 depending on what i look like. (healthy weight between 173-129).
I'm eating healthy and exercising but everytime i lose a couple pounds i gain them back a few days later. I don't want anything heavy duty or life disrupting just something to help with metabolism or something.

A. I've heard some great things about slim quick. They have pills and drink mixes. But def. exercise i also have a friend that lost 50 pounds on weight watchers!

A. changing your diet to only healthy foods is the best thing you can do and will ensure you will lose weight if combine with walking everyday especially.

you can eat how much you like if you stay within these 3 guidelines and still lose fat naturally and gradually. You should lose 10lbs each month on average.

1.eat only steamed lean meats, eggs, healthy fruits ,vegetables, nuts, grains (Asian basmati or jasmine rice gives lots of energy and can be found at your local oriental/asian market or some super markets), & yogurt..2. drink only water, juice, & milk..3. walk or do some physical exercise 1-3 hour every day.


(btw, recommend you also to buy an electronic food steamer and a rice cooker ((Both Very cheap)) .which, used together make it very easy to prepare very nutritional, healthy meals ,,add a bit of olive oil , diced garlic, pepper, sliced lemon and spices on top of steamed vegeatables, fish or chicken to add more taste if wish as these are healthy too.)
