Q. I ate about 1-2 cups of raw carrots and broccoli today. Does anybody know how many points are in them? I'm also wondering about cauliflower and onions. Thanks!
A. Pretty much all of your raw vegetables on zero points for one cup. You do need to watch if you eat more than a cup though, because the points could start adding up. For example, 2 cups of raw carrots is 1.5. Then again, some people say you can eat all of the vegetables you want and it will not affect your weight loss. I rarely measure my veggies. Good Luck!

How many weight watchers points should I start out with?
Q. I am 29 years old, 200lbs, and 5'3. I am trying to lose at least 50lbs. How many points should I limit myself to each day to start out?
A. According to the week one book, you should start out with 26 points, and as soon as you get below 199, you should restrict yourself to 24 points. I hope you don't have a specific time limit iin which you want to loose the weight. Weight Watchers is about a lifestyle change, not just a short term goal. I hope this helps, but I really want to encourage you to attend meetings, you'll get tips and encouragement, which are key tools in the path to healthy weight loss. It's 39 per month AND you get access to E-tools, which is REALLY helpful. Good luck :)
